I just tried to find BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. 245-60 out back, 215-65 in front. NTB still has them on order. Apparently these tires are being discontinued. The Tire Rack had 4 of the the back size, 2 of the front size, and that is all. I ordered them last Tuesday, I was told I SHOULD have them on Friday. I also had to put a deposit down. Absolutely crazy.
I've told this before but several people didn't beleive me. My Uncle who was the plant manager for Dunlop in Buffalo NY for many years (recently retired) told me that they have ended production of ALL 13", 14" & 16" tires. He said 15" were to stay in production through 2011 and then the smallest automotive tire they will produce from then on will be 17" and up...
Ain't that a bunch of crap..... They just don't want anyone to own anything older than a 2006 model.... They say just not enough of that size being sold now so poof there gone...
Dulop was purchased by the Japanese YEARS ago, and it's not just one brand. This same company owns SEVERAL mfg. under SEVERAL different names. Think about, what cars that are being sold today have a tire less than 17"? Not many...
The last set of 14"s my friend with all the cars just bought, when he decoded the date of mfg. on them, they were more than two years old. If it were me I would have just used them, not him, he took them back and made them find another full set of four that were not as old.

depending on how much you drive /year....I dont mind buying 5 yr old tires, if I get 35-40k out of them the next 5-6 yrs...I wouldnt drive on 10 yr old.... If I recall correctly , in Sweden they forbid selling tires 10 yrs old.
