but anyways.. my position hasn't changed.. I haven't said crap for 2 years for the sake of the community, and I actually took the time to politely and eloquently state my case in this thread..

I'm not big on folks posturing, or worse arguing someones elses business.. the complaint is between myself and Vikki/Yellowbird.. if you wanna jump in you better bring something to the table, don't throw bombs or tell me I better watch what I'm saying.. pick up the bill or butt out.

see.. I care about everyone in MY life (that's you too).. I help all who ask because I am blessed and I can help you find that treasure too.

but there is a cost to that.. you can't lie or cheat me.. the very worst deed you do to another is really who you are in life..

"doing business" isn't about screwing someone out of every dime every chance you get.. real business is helping another with their needs, at a fair rate, so they can succeed too..

Hey now, believe it or not, I ended up giving the first guy half his money back(mostly because my wife made me because she felt sorry for them. Personally I have a hard time feeling sorry for morons). I'm just tired of whiners with buyers remorse that want me to be their babysitter.
I say make the deal, stick to it and don't whine about it just because things don't go the way you thought they would. And don't expect anybody to hold your hand and pick up after you.

If you start making accusations on an open forum, you'd better have something to back it up. Saying that Vikki scammed you or ripped you off and you are now a victim is your opinion at best; based on what you have related so far, you're a long way from proving that.

Sounds more like sour grapes to me - but that's just my opinion. Let love and peace guide us all.

I am not getting involved in the disagreement between the two of you....Vikki is a big girl, she can take care of herself, more likely better than with my help...lol....but if you guys get ugly (which I seriously doubt , knowing both of you)I`ll have to get involved, one way or another....to protect the 'bystanders'...

This is what I took exception to. Pretty obvious to the vast majority here that Vikki is not an example of that type of person.

If someone takes an unfair or unsubstantiated shot at someone I know, I'll call them on it. If in the end I was wrong to do so, I'll gladly apologize but I'll need more than one side of the story.

This appears to be more about perception than fact. If you don't agree with the outcome, change the conditions for next time or ensure that there isn't a next time. Either way, learn from it and move on.

it sad that even on the board we have troubles.

my car has just been one rip of to the next. and it's still not painted. i think this is the thrid time i've been ripped off on trying to get it painted. the latest one the guy closed down cause he sold his shop. he says he'll paint it but shows no signs of getting a new place or even stopping by to visit and help me out on the car+he only lives 5 minutes away.

the second time i got screwed on the paint it was the old good buddy friend of a mother-in-law that painted cars, after i gave them half down for materials all work stopped.

im still trying to get my front clip back from the guy up here in smithville, he sandblasted the body and front clip but never epoxyed the front clip just a thin coat on the shell, which i gave him 2 gallons of epoxy. the 2 gallons of epoxy wasnt even part of the deal but that i provided to help him out, in september he's had my front clip 1 year.

all i can say is nice guys always finish last.

my favorite part is always the offer to by my car after they try and sit on it or destroy it. all i can figure is that it is the powerwindows and a/c that must drive em nuts? i mean it's not even a 400 car. seems like most of the cars around here in kc are not numbers matching so maybe thats it?

even when i had my motor rebuilt that was a disaster. it told them 30 over no more...cause it was the original motor..so they whack it out 60 over first shot.

thank god i got the car cheap from my mom cause so far i have 18-20k in it and it's a bucket.

I do remember it being said on Outlaw Josey Wales several years back we were called, and I quote,"no good, lieing, cheating, missouri scum" makes you wonder why they picked us.

And there is the reason I like to keep my stuff in sight because it seems everyone has sticky fingers or wants to screw you...

Man Oh MAN... It was the start of it all. If not for the 67 bird or the 64 GTO we would have no SD455 74TA. Or no turbo indy pace car or a WS6 package. We all would be driving hondas or toyotas right now. Talking about putting a turbo on a 73 corolla or civic. Or worse yet a ford...

since this topic is scams... let me tell you what happen to the sd455.

he sold the body for some reason and kept the motor for years at my granmas house. well he got into legal trouble and needed some money but also needed a car to drive so he traded the complete engine for a 64 gto that looked pretty nice and ran+drove. according to my dad the car hs some carpet in the trunk with a bunch of exta parts n stuff, when he got home he pulled them out and removed the carpet there was no floor at all... just leaf springs and gastank. he tryed to get the 455 back but the guy said no takebacks and to pi ss off.

i wish i still had that motor i guess it would be great in the 69

he says he thinks he might be able to get it back if he had 5k or so.
