Finally remembered to take my camera over to take some photos of my new Bird. I picked it up off of eBay a few weeks ago after finding out my '67 convertible had serious rust issues. Luckily, I sold that car to someone who was looking for a project. Thanks again to all of you for your advice.
Expect to see me asking a lot of questions over the next couple of months. I'm a little disappointed by the alignment of the front end panels, but I think I can fix it. As you can see in the photos, the hood sits high on the drivers side. Oddly, it seems to match up at the rear of the fender and on the passenger side. The gaps are a little off between the fender and hood as well. The passenger side fender seems to line up well all the way around. Other than that and a few other small touches I'll be adding, I'm very happy. I've got a set of Rally Gages and a fold-down rear seat (thanks Firebob!) to install and I'll be upgrading to four-wheel power disc brakes as soon as funds allow.
There is a simple trick to getting the hood mounted flat but can't remember exactly, I think Bjorn knows though. Something like loosen up the hinges and then tighten them down with the hood all the way up or something like that.
Car looks great! You plan on attending any of the Titusville Saturday shows. I beleive they have started back up now that the weather is breaking. If so, let me know, would love to meet up with you there...

My wife loves your color grey. SHe's begging me to paint it a darker grey than pallidium silver. Nice ride to say the least looks like easy fix with the hood. Interior is nice unmolested too. ANy pics of the engine bay? JOE
Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I've been on vacation.
No pics of the engine bay yet. That's an area that I'd like to spend some time cleaning up. Everything is pretty dirty and the engine needs to be repainted. Looks like it's a 70's color now.
Joe, I haven't heard anything about the Titusville shows, but I'm up for it. It'd be a short trip for me. I'll have to check into it. I'd enjoy meeting up with ya.
One more thing to check if you think the front sheet metal is not lining up right is the subframe alignment. Here is a link that gets into it you can skip to 2:30 if you want to get right to the subframe alignment.
