Hey Don, I have a 1966 326 motor which I believe came out of a GTO or maybe a different big car. It is complete from air cleaner on down. Any interest in that?
I found one in St louis that is a 67 YN# ON BLOCK AND I GOT A CALL FROM A GUY IN CALIFORNIA who has a 326 out of 67 bird XI# wants $500 and if he can ship it for $200 then I'm going to buy it but thank's any way
If that deal falls through by chance let me know. I'd be willing to part with the 326 that is in my 67 LeMans right now. It's the original motor with 64k, runs PERFECT and needs NOTHING. I'd be willing to pull it and deliver it to you as my Brother lives in Bardstown, KY.
This motor runs flawlessly and burns ZERO oil and is getting right around 20 mpg. I would pull my 4bbl intake and carb and sell the original 2bbl intake and carb with the motor. I have the 400 from my 68 Bird that is going in the LeMans. I had it rebuilt and stroked to a 461. It's sitting on the stand waiting patiently...
I have tried to return the favor of helping me out with a few parts for my 455 by steering some members here your way.

Hey Paul, it's Ed Conner. It's about time you became a member here!! With the snow today I won't be up to see you. I will drop the cradle off one night this week.
You wouldn't even have to clean mine. LOL Drop it in and GO! Litterally. I have the matching 2-speed auto that could go with it as well. I didn't want to part with my matching numbers engine/trans but I'll never have enough $$ to install my 461 without selling off the 326. As mentioned, I'll even deliver it.

Well, I guess it depends on what you need. Do you have any of the accessories ie: alternator & brackets, power steering setup, pulleys, timing chain cover etc.? Or do you litterally need the entire motor. As for intake and carb., I would sell the original 2bbl intake & carb. with the block. I ideally I would sell my engine like this: block w/oil pan & valley pan, heads, 2bbl carb & intake. I would keep everything off the front of the engine ie: timing chain cover, pulleys, alt., power steering etc. as I need all of that for my other block.
However, if you do not have any of the accessory parts, I could sell the engine 100% complete as I do still some of those parts from the Bird. So I guess it really comes down to what you need and I would price accordingly.
As stated before, the good thing with my block is you would not have to do a thing to it. This motor runs STRONG, burns no OIL, NO leaks etc. When I bought the car one year ago this week it had 54k miles. I've put 12k on the car and ZERO problems. Let me know what you need and go from there...
This is going into a 67 correct? Do you want it to be "correct" in the fact that you want the 8-bolt timing chain cover setup, or the later 11 bolt stlye? If you don't mind an 11 bolt set up I have everything you would need...
