So i will finally be able to get rid of the old school drum brakes on the 67 and upgrade with a disc brake conversion kit, getting everything new, plan on making it my spring project before i get her back on the road, anyone ever did one before? Any input will be helpful
In my opinion I would go for a 4-wheel disc brake conv. My 68 Bird had 4-wheel drum and my 68 Camaro RS/SS conv. had factory front wheel disc. I did install a 4-wheel disc brake conv. kit on my 67 LeMans this past spring and I can say, there is nothing like 4-wheel disc brakes!
I bought a full blown conv. kit from CPP (classic performance product) out of CA. Their kit was excellent, although I did run into some issues. They were helpful and resolved my issues, shipped out correct parts overnight etc. All in all a MUCH bigger job than I imagined but well worth it in the end.
thanks for the info, but with cash being the object, im only able to afford the fronts for now, but will look into the rears down the road. Already got aftermarket rims on the car, 14"s on front and 15"s on the back
Regarding 4 wheel versus 2 wheel, I guess the conventional wisdom is that most of the braking is handled by the front brakes, so is there a huge difference between 2 and 4 wheel conversions?

I did the fronts only with power discs and the braking is amazing. So unless you're building a pro tourer or a racecar, I wouldn't think the extra cost and extra hassle of rear discs is worth it. But that's my opinion...
The front disc kit from Right Stuff is what I used. The org 14 inch rims didn't fit. The 14 inch fit on the drivers side but hit on the pass side. They needed an another 1/4 inch to "fit". I ended up mounting 15 in. S10 rims for the time being. I got some pics on my photobucket...
Good luck, Kyle
