Those of you, especially vert owners, what "non-original" seats are you using and what tracks??? Or, if you have 2nd gen seats in your car which seat tracks did you use and how is the ride height compared to the original seats???
Here's my problem. I have always liked the 2nd gen T/A Deluxe "horse collar" buckets. I picked up a pair cheap a few years back that needed a rebuild. I finally got around to doing a test fit the last couple of weeks. I cleaned and redid my original 67 seat tracks. They needed some minor adjustment to a few mounting holes but seemed to fit nicely. Untill I sat in them. They sit WAY too high. Fortunately I haven't spent any $$ on rebuilding these seats. The original 75 tracks seem to be a no go also. But I may try and see if I can come up with a method to make them work if they sit lower. So I'm trying to decide what to do seat wise. To me I have three options.
1. Just go with a pair of aftermarket seats like Sparco , Cipher Auto, ...etc ...
2. Find another OEM setup, like a set of 68/69 seats with head rests, that will fit. Without a ton of mods.
3. Find an aftermarket set of seat tracks that have a lower profile than my original 67 tracks so the seats I currently have will work.
Any thoughts, ideas, pics of other seat configurations would be appreciated.

friends of mine have: Late model TA seats late model BMW seats late model Chrysler seats late model GTO seats here is one of them with late model GTO seats (and dash) , but really I have no good shots of them, nor the others
I have stuck with my 69 original seats , BUT added in a fixed 'lumbar support' by using a piece of foam in the back rest
I put Corbeau Sport Seats in mine with the "Camaro" frames. I got them uncovered so an upholsteror could make my OEM back seat and the fronts match after he recovered them.
I also had to have the Camaro frames moved inboard to clear the OEM seat belt retractors (read: cut and reweld the 4 attachment points).
These seats have much better side bolsters than most OEM seats and have manual lumbar supports (hand pumps)

The first pictures look like Sam's car. I went with Pro-Car Rally seats in mine. I think they look great and give a lot of side support. At least when I'm making vroom noises in the car.
Very nice. How's the comfort and ride height?? The T/A seats are supposed to be a little more comforatable. But Camaro are easier to find. PLus I kinda like the high back better than a head rest. Also who did your seat covers ??

They seem plenty comfy to me, they don't have the adjustable lumbar though. The height is adjustable with the power tracks, (plus I don't have a stock steering wheel) though I do wish I had a tilt steering coulum. (BTW 98's were only power on the driver's side so I had to adapt another track for the passenger side.) I recovered the seats myself, except for the artwork on the headrests.

I was able to locate a nice set of 2002 T/A black cloth seats. Drivers is elec passenger manual for $325 shipped. Nice thing is these don't need to be recovered right away. They are very nice. But at least not I can install seats and get my harness installed properly so I can paint my roll bar, dash, firewall, etc ....

Anybody using C5 Corvette seats? I'm planning to put a set in, but haven't mocked them up. Not certain the best way to mock them up. I've heard good things about the T/A seats, just couldn't find any for the $100 I paid for the vette seats.
