Long story short, my windshield was installed and is to low on the bottom. When i put the lower molding on, theres 1/8 to 3/16 gap between the molding and the glass Has anyone ever had to bend those spring clips to get the molding tighter against the glass? I don't want to break them. I would take the windshield out and re-install it but i used urethane Any ideas?
Shouldn't there be lower stops for the windshield?

yes there are lower stops, they are in place. The windshield is lined up right. the problem is that i didn't put enough Urethane down, so now the window is to low vertically. Its not vertically high enough for the molding to lay on top of it. Im thinking i can bend the spring clips so the molding will come down lower to lay on the windshield?

So now your windshield sits closer to the frame due to the thickness difference between the butle (sp) rope and the urethane. I don't think you can fix this other than resetting your windshield. If you found a solution let us know. This just confirmed my plan to use the stock butle rope when I re-install my windshield.
Good luck
Honest dad, that 455 on the side of the block is a serial number
not only that, but the new windshields are at least 1/16", possibly 1/8", thinner than the original glass. You need to set them up about 3/8" with spacer blocks to get flush moldings.
To fix yours, Blaise, the ONLY recommended way is to remove and reset the windshield.
