I have 4 fenders, 2 from a 67 and 2 from a 68. Both have had a fair amount of bondo in the front by the emblems and rusted out behind the wheel. Question is should I spend the countless hours trying to repair them and guess at the body line in front, or take my chances with some oer, dynacorn, or goodmark repops. I am capable of repairing the rusted out section but concerned the fronts having been hit and beat out before will be a bad fix. So far I have not been too impressed with the Dynacorn parts, seat pan took 4 tries to get me the right one, and my inner rh fender has to be trimmed to clear the front bumper bracket, no help from the vendor or even a note from Dynacorn you will need to do this. Sad that they make all these parts for our cars and they kinda fit.
The Goodmark inner fenders I used on my '67 matched my rusted original ones 99%. The trimming at the front has been discussed on this site many times, so I was prepared for it. But using my old ones as a guide, it was pretty simple. A buddy of mine used Goodmark fenders and had a couple of hours into each re-sculpting the correct body lines. But at least they are rust-free when you are done. And I used Goodmark full coupe quarters for my 'vert and I'd say the passenger side was 97% correct, and the driver's side was 90% correct. I have heard worse results with Dynacorn.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Good info thx, I may end up with OER fenders and 400 hood, Biscays is a couple hours away from me but actually stocks everything so I can take a good look at everything before I take it home. The local vendor has been trying to convince me Dynacorn is the best, but my web reseach has shown otherwise. Goodmark is not ideal either but one of the better choices as you verified, AMD might be a good choice but I dont know if anyone here is stocking them.
