1969 Firebird 350 Coupe, Rust free Texas body, formerly brown, now a TA clone with quality spoiler, latching hood and TA wheel; 1969 GTO Convertible Expresso Brown/Parchment(currently painted red). Both numbers matching. My first love was a Cameo White 67 326 Coupe, bought back in 1983, at the age of 17, for $1,200. Been hooked since on PONTIAC! Working on a 67 400 ragtop for customization-Gulf Turquoise/Parchment/400/4 spd! My winter project!
Nice photos. I recently got my 67. Its all original with 31000 miles. The stock valve cover (passenger side) has a 1" diameter hole. I am having trouble finding a breather and grommet for it.
I just ordered a Spectre 4300 (3/4" neck) with a 1.22" to 3/4 grommet. Hoping I can squeeze the grommet in and get the breather to stick.
I just painted the valve covers with Plasitkote 227 Pontiac metallic blue.
The motor started right up after at least 14 years of sitting. I dont need to pull it except for detailing. Any tips on how to detail a motor and compartment with the engine installed? thanks Rich
