I did get verification from PHS so I am guessing that something happened somewhere down the line. Any suggestions on getting a new hood with scoops for my 68 400. Are originals still avail or are reprod good enough. Are the scoops functional or just more for looks. I like the car better with them. Thanks for the infor before.

Repo hoods and scoops are readily available.Original hoods and scoops are out there as well,just need to spread the word or look around the internet ie ebay,for one.

the original hoods & scoops that I have seen for sale, the price was somewhat more than repos. I got a repo from Year One, a Goodmark product, the fit was decent but the fenders need a little adjustment. The scoops are non functional on my bird.

The scoops are more for looks than anything.
Really the only place where you'll get "ram air"
is at the frt. of the hood or at the windshield.
