Actually, firebird and 'Maro are different. firebird has the cut-outs for the PONTIAC lettering. Putting the letters with the correct studs are difficult on a 'Maro lid. (but can be done)
And '67 and '68 have different cut-outs on the underside. But from the top they are identical and will interchange fit-wise.

Yes, you do. Can you get the aftermarket holes to look like the originals? I didn't look closely enough at the repop after locating an original 400 trunk lid, but my initial thought was no.

I had checked with Classic some months back about the more expensive hood. When I asked specifically, they said they were listed as a Camaro part also and no guarantee the holes would be correct for a Firebird. That was months ago, so maybe they have addressed that issue.

Speaking of Classic, they've issued a new version of their catalog. Not sure if they have corrected any of their Camaro/Firebird mismatches.

Hopefully they have fixed that issue and also decided to only list in the catalog those items that they actually have - not those that will not be available for another year.
