Hey just wondering what you guys think a 68 Firebird im going to be picking up is worth, i know it isnt worth lots, but just wondering. its a 68, no motor or trans, new quarters, new trunk floor, rest of floor is all good, needs doors or skins, fenders aren't the best, good hood, most glass, partial interior like seats, dash, doorpanels but the interior does need some work, anybody have any guesses from what i've described? or if anyone is interested drop me a line! firebird_68@sympatico.ca
Sounds almost comparable to how I bought mine, so Im gonna say.....<drum roll>.....ask Terry (69Firebirdman) or TOHcan (Brent) or Bjorn or Quenton (P.M.I.?). Just kiddin, if you are HAPPY with what you paid, then you got a good deal!!! (Im guessin $800-1400?) But any of them would certainly know more about the value than myself. Charlie
I paid $2800 CAD (about $1800 US) for mine in about the same condition other than my fenders and doors were good but of the 6 that I could find it was the best buy. Here's a link to how it looked when I got it and to where I'm at just about 3 years later. I'm going to have it on the road this spring and at it's first show May 29/05. http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/carguy6567/album?.dir=/e87b&.src=ph&.tok=phtSLUCBq6HMKVG8.
Looking good Gerry. I like the trick you used to paint the hood hinge springs. That is why the spring was on the jack right? lol

Hey guys ya i figured somewhere in that range, it came with i believe a 326, but was definatly a v8 car, i am going to be selling it with no motor or no transmission, just selling it the way it is.
the value will depend on who you are selling it to.i would not pay much for it cause i dont need any more at the moment.but if you find the right person you may get 800 to 1200 for it.you would be better off getting it running and selling it as a running car.you can get a good running 350 eng and tranny for little money or even a small block chevy.some may frown at that but it is better than selling it with nothing.if the buyer can drive the car,you may get 2500 to 3000 for it.
ya that is a good point firebirdman,,, just only thing is i would rather spend the time working on my firebird than on this one that im going to be selling! ya thats what i figured 800 to 1200ish in that range i will be happy to get.. thanks all!
