Joe, On the topic of sight , My niece (11) was diagnosed this week with Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) (her grandmas has it to).Made me think of you, Merry Christmas.
I wish her the best. That is something I am not familiar with. I hope for her sake it's something that can be helped. She is far too young to have to deal with vision issues, let's all keep her in our prayers, she is the one who needs them.

This is part of an email i got from my sister roughly explaining the disease.
"Sarah was sent to London to see and eye specialist she has been diagnosed with Retinitis pigmentosa. I composed myself for her yesterday and fought off the tears but today it hit me so it was an emotional morning. Sarah inherited this disease from her grandmother on her dads side .Ther is no known cure to date. It is a disease that will and can progress over time usually in the early 40's -50.s Each case is different sarahs case could be better or worse compared to her grandma. her grandma starting losing her sight late 30 early 40s she now is 63 still with site but has 7% vision left. sarah has difficult with night vision. She will have tests done to see where her eyes are being effected."
I am so sorry to hear something like that! She is only 11? As Joe said she is far too young to have any problems with her health. I wish her all the best and my prayers go out to you and your entire family. I hope everything works out for her. Please keep us informed. The power of prayer is strong, have faith.
Keep the faith. It's incredible what they can do now. Seriously, probably 20% of the people walking around today wouldn't have been alive still just 25 years ago. My dad being one. Amazing.
