Does anyone have any experience with mounting a bird on a rotisserie using the rear frame rail shackle mounting holes? Does one use the rubber shackle bushings with the thru bolt?

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I made a set of spacers from a piece of pipe and flat plate.

Decided to use round bar 1.5" diameter with a 1/2" hole drilled thru with a lathe. Same result. Thanks.

I mounted mine through the rubber bushing with the regular shackle bolt. Worked perfect. I figured if it could hold the car up on the spring going down the road it would hold just sitting there. It was on the rotisserie for over a year. I rotated, pounded and rolled it around with no problems.

Good to know. I wasn't sure that would hold up with the car sideways. I have a contact with a lathe who will drill a 1/2" hole through the round bar next weekend. Then I can mount it and begin the hours and hours of fun to be had.
