Doesn'y any company in the US made a body panel that can fit correctly!!!!!!! Every single replacement body panel that I purchased isn't even close to fitting correctly. Why does everything have to come from over seas?!?!?!
Here's what I have. I'm trying to replace both inner rocker panels, 1 piece floor pan, 1 piece firewall and both sides tulip panels. Nothing, I mean nothing is lining up!!!!
The driver side inner rocker panel doesn't line up around where the vents would go. The passenger side inner rocker is off by about 15 degrees from being straight. The driver side tulip panel isnt curved right. Where can I get body panels that F&*^ing fit!!!!!
I've spent close to 1000 dollars on new sheet metal that won't install properly. I'm ready to just call the junk yard and scrap the car. I'm tired of dealing with.
You should also realize that over the years these bodies have been torqued as unibody cars and are prone to distortion.
Take some measurements within the body to see if it's the body or panels. Alot of panels need massaging. Depending on the manufacturer, dies, number of pans made, proper fit will decrease over time and age.
Have you bolted in solid cross braces? (doors removed) These keep the body from flexing for proper rocker panel and pan replacement.

Banshee is right on the money. Not that I am a huge supporter of social media, but you can do searches on Youtube for others that have attempted the same projects. Your welding results are only as good as the supports used to hold the body in place during installation.

I have found inner rockers to be very good. I also bought complete rockers for 68 conv. and although not presies as original ones, they fit well. Your car may be twisted a bit. Also, I've found AMD quarter panels are the best on ther market in my oipinion.
