Its not for my car as I dont have it...but a HALF member who bought Paul Janssens 67 vert from Newport a few months back... it has a fold down rear seat., but theres no "cover" for the top motor area when its down......first I`m thinking there should be a "back rest cover" or cover for the meatal frame, when the folding back rest is folded down....am I correct?
if so ,what does it look like ? any pictures , anyone?
and is this available by any one ,or should he have some one just make it? and what material is on it?
Yeap, just a cardboard panel, that's it! There is also a "gutter" for the bottom that the "gutter" sets/rests in and that the set back sets against when it's in it's upright position. The gutter is also available repop...
The gutter also plays a more significant role in supporting the seat back than one might think as it "pushes" it straight and keeps it from bowing in if someone is actually sitting against it in the back seat. Once the gutter is in place and seat back is in the upright position one would see exactly what I mean. Otherwise the seat back tends to get a "bowed" inward look to it...
Here is a picture of a 69 convertible with fold down rear seat. I know there are some differences between a 67 and a 69 (like the lock for the seat back) but it might give you an idea of how it should look.
