Ok I'm sure this has been answered over and over. What is the easiest and proper way to install the header molding over the top of the windshield? Do I hook it under the windshield frame first the force it forward, slide it on? I keep scratching the crap out of the paint on the frame. I don't want to bend the sh!T out of the new pieces? These are re-pops , but my originals are a pain too. I don't remember how I even got them off! I'm speaking of the chrome on top of the frame that the convertible top sits on.

I cant mine are really bad, also comparing the two side by side the re-pops look exactly like the originals. I just need to know what's the easiest way to install. It looks like I have to hook them under the inside frame lip, then somehow roll, stretch ,pound or something to get them on.

you do have to start by "hooking" them on the inside but leave them sticking out on the ends a little bit. you do have to kinda wrap them on. they are more flexible than you would think.

I don't know if they retooled, but mine look almost exactly like the originals... But when attempting to install them I scratch all the paint off the windshield frame. I'd like to seal them to the frame with seam sealer.
