Yep his name is Chris. Nice guy and a cool car. I think he ws talked out since so many people had come up asking about his car. Anyway he is trying to keep it all OEM which we were encouraging him to do so. BTW it sounded AWESOME with the glasspacks he installed lol. A 67 Vert WITH AC and power brakes. Nicely optioned car.
Sounds like it was a good show. Unfortunately I was out of town, I just couldn't blurt that out on the internet. So how many FGF’s? Did anybody get any pics?
It was one of those great moments when I really screwed up hadn't charged my iPhone and didn't get any pics. Not even one of my TA tribute which I hadn't shown before. I think my buddy did get some pics but he's more into 20's and 30's hot rods and probably didn't get any of the FGF but I'll see. I would estimate that there were a good 12-15 FGF there as opposed to 3 at the Goodguys show. The show was no doubt a big success and talking to the organizers they are already planning the 2014 show. Wont be for about a year so I think you've got plenty time to plan your schedule so you can be there.

I really hope they work on some of the obvious problems such as no vending for water/food or any way to purchase water that I could find. Cars were way too spread out all over. No signage for anything.
The water and other concessions were inside the north entrance to the stadium. I had to find them as my 5 year old daughter was there with me. Sounds like you have some input that would be beneficial. You can e-mail Texas Dream Cruise and see if you can be part of the organization committee for next year. The guys seem cool and very open to suggestions to improve.

Yup I found the vending "area". It was one person with a line of more than a hundred deep. I had brought my own water but not near enough. When I saw the line I passed on having to stand in the heat. Next time I will bring a full on cooler with tons of water and ice. It was a bit scary to see so many EMT's having to race around caring for heat exhaustion. The best thing we did was to take a long lunch at Jakes and slug down several waters in the AC.

Nice tribute Dave! I hadn't seen that, maybe I was just reading email notifications or you just added to your sig. Cool car.
Thanks man. Appreciate that. I was actually trying to add a photo to my signature for a while but couldn't get it right until somebody clued me in to what I was doing wrong.
Agreed. I will definitely pack a cooler next year too. The first organization meeting for the 2014 show is tonight and I will bring up some of the concerns expressed on this site. I really would like it to be held either in spring or fall but I know they don't want this show to close to Goodguy's or it might hurt the turnout. Would have been cool if Goodguy's still only had one show in October and Dream Cruise could be held in March or April.
Hey Marc-Great story about your car. I wanted to let you know that Pizza Hut park was very happy with the success of the event and is going to do a lot to help make it better including providing additional concession areas possibly including remote ones in the parking areas.

Good talking with you Dave. Good work on the Dream Car Cruise event. Had I paid attention and known that these meetings were going on I ma have attended but thank you for putting in the time.
Let me know what you find out about the vibration and if it is drive train related. I am currently working on replacing the radiator and I/E gaskets which requires a complete disassembly of the right side of the OHC motor and fuel/air system. Not sure how long my car will be down? Also, I have been talking the Tom (Formula guy) about the Car and coffee thing in Plano.
Its better to send me emails or text. ohcsprint@gmail.com and you have my phone.
