An easy way to fix these is to rough up the back of the plate and the back of the clip. Then buy some adhesive that is used for bonding door skins on the frames. Put a dap on the post and then put the clip back on(make sure it is oriented right) and then apply a little more on top of the clip. I did this when I had my Bird and never had any problems with it. Beats drilling holes and screwing it on. Barry
