I know this has been covered partially but could'nt find the necessary details. I added a trunk light to my 68 convertible and am not sure where the wires tie into. I have the location of the light, just need some help on how the wires connect, how to route them and where. Gracias!
If like a coupe, the wire from the light is threaded down through the inside of the trunk lid, comes out the bottom on the driver's side, held by a clip to the trunk lip, then goes around the wheel hump along the quarter into the left rear window jamb area where it connects to the dome light plug. But with no dome light on a 'vert, I'd say it must continue forward to the fuse block. The last part is a guess on my part.

The wire goes into trunk lid and comes out on left side lift arm. A couple of steel clips hold the wire to the lift arm. RUN it to the wiring harness to plug in.

Great-got that, the wiring harness has 2 wires (orange and black) with pig tails that is specifically made for verts, do these pig tails connect anywhere at any point into a specific wire or do they both run into any power or to the fuse box?
One other questions: How does the trunk light turn on on a vert?
By simply opening the trunk lid.
Its on a mercury switch, just like the hood lamp. (unless you switch to an aftermarket one). Then only God knows...
