Check out the video of my wonderful wiper motor that was rebuilt. Just wonderful. Not! I hate sending off stuff to be fixed and they do a half [censored] job.
The way it is looking I may have to send back me steering gear box too. seems one side the valve is stuck or something. It turns reals easy to left and hard to the right.
D&M Restoration did the work on the wiper motor. It's under warranty but it's just a hassle to have to go through this again. I'll have to remove it and ship it back after I talk to them Monday.
Power steering services did the gear box work. It has a lifetime warranty, so if I don't get the valve unstuck, I have to remove it and ship it off. It's going to be much harder now the car is back together.

They must do motor for NASCAR.

Sent the wiper motor off last Wednesday and got it back today. It's now installed and working great.
When they received it they tested it and no horrible sound came from the motor. I told them to stick it in the freezer for a little bit to get the temperature down to about 40 and it should start acting up. Sure enough it did. They got it fixed and shipped it back.
Good news. I figured D&M would fix you up. I learned about them from a picky Ferrari restorer.

Did they cover your shipping? I hate it when you pay someone to do something and they do a half [censored] job of it.
Good news on the wiper- let us know about the steering!

God Bless the men and women past and present that have served this country. Thank you. Support D.A.V. - it helps gives a life back to those who gave so much for us.....
I had to pay shipping to D&M but they covered it back. When I talked to the guy about the issue with the wiper motor he told me the guy that built it is no longer there due to issues like this. Just glad they got it right this time.
As far as the steering gearbox, Chip found that the valve was sticking 1 out four tests and ended up replacing the complete valve/spool assembly. I'll get it today and I hope to get it back on tonight.
He also said he put in some $$ to help with the shipping to him.
I thought that was pretty awesome of him. He even provides lifetime warranty on his gearbox rebuilds.
Steering gearbox back in and working great this time around. Chip is taking care of the shipping to and from his shop and the gearbox is warranted for life so can't beat that.
Good that the steering box is fix and running correctly.
What is the news about the D&M wiper motor? I ask as I still have my original and was recommended to them about getting it restored. $225 is a steep price but they claim that they do it sans the rivets and keep the original appearance with new guts. Thing is that the $225 price is close to what some of the NOS are going for. Also, my Cardone cheapy that I have had from RockAuto took a dump and I found a replacement at eBay for $60. It is in beautiful shape, no rivets, original appearance and works like new.
I can post pictures if you want since it is not installed just yet.
