I plan on listing this car on ebay this weekend, its been in my family for the past 30 years. Ill give some info about it, I will get pics this weekend. Its had the floor pans, quarter panels and trunk pan replaced. Underside is undercoated. Front disc brakes, muncie 4 speed, blow proof bellhousing, aluminium flywheel, mr gasket close ratio shifter, original rally wheels and also a set of 77 trans am snow flake wheels. Two front clips, two sets of doors, two trunk lids, two trans am style spoilers. Dash and inside engine compartment have been painted gloss black. Interior and front clip are not currently installed. I know I am missing a few things like the door guts and front bumper, and windshield. I plan on listing it with a starting bid of $10k with no reserve. I also have a 400 motor that was in a tempest and ran 11's, its got a decked block, lightened crank, 69 ram air 3 heads and roller rockers. Engine was built by Rock and Roll engineering 475hp 500torque that I will include for another $3k. Its a $10k+ turn key ready to go engine.
I have relisted it on ebay for 7k and the engine will be included for another 3k. This is the last time I plan on listing it for sale. 1969 firebird 4 speed on ebay
I would suggest you do a traditional auction, start at $200 and set a reserve and let the auction take place. People get scared off by auctions that start at or near the seller's asking price. Also photos outside of the entire car would help build interest. (try to make it look like a real car). Good luck.
I took your advice and relisted on ebay starting at $200 with a $5000 reserve the least I would be willing to take. I have something else I want to buy or I wouldnt care if it just kept sitting in the garage.
