This is a picture of the underside of a 69 Trans Am restoration project. It is on the drivers side. It appears to have been cut off at some point. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have a clue what that is and apparently nobody else does either. The hangers under my 67 back seat bolt into the sheet metal which has a backing plate drilled and tapped. I assume 69 would have the same setup.

Bob I appreciate the reply. There are brackets for the exhaust hangers that are drilled and tapped. We wound up grinding that bracket off. Thanks for the input.

That looks like something that was spot welded at the factory. Would be interesting to know the story.

I just finished replacing the trunk in my 69 and didn't have anything like that on the under side. That looks like the driver side between the frame rail and gas tank strap?
