Hi guys, I'm putting a 1971 400 in my 67 firebird with Long Branch exhaust, the angle oil filter housing I bought from Kauffman racing does not work as the exhaust hits the oil filter at midway on the filter. According to some research I need the 1966 GTO filter housing that is at a 120 degree angle. Anyone have one, know where I can get one or a way to fix it without returning the Longbranch ad going stock manifolds. Thanks text me at 949-795-193three if you have one. Engine is on the EZ run stand waitng to fire up.

The 68 needed a oil filter adapter and the 90degree oil filter housing to be used with the long branch headers. Would that not work with the 71?

No Harold, if you put a 70 or newer in a 67 / 68 you need a different one

Gordy, I believe that's what is listed in Classic Industries as a GT440 and won't work with a TH400 which I have. Thanks

Not sure exactly what it is you need but I think I have a housing from a big car that is tilted in toward the block instead of the normal bird one that was 90* down.

I've got a 70 block and use the exact same adapter Gordy shows.. so I know it fits. Also have the LBM's and TH400
The filter housings came in 90 and 105 degree.
You just need the 90 degree housing and the adapter and it will clear.
