No, not that one!! I was wondering if my dipstick showed the right oil level( I know I could drain it and add 5 qt sand check but I don't really want to drop fresh oil out and put it back in just to see). I have no idea which motor it came out of. I am running a 400 w/ a windage tray and lower dipstick tube. I measured mine from below the cap to full and have exactly 14".
I don't have the measurement handy but my full on my new stick was wrong. I had to engrave a new mark after putting 5 qts in. It ended up about a 1/2 -3/4" higher then the mark from what I remember. I know this does not help you but I think each can be different.
I just measured mine: From the bottom of the cap to the oil level is 14-1/8". I changed oil last summer so I could be down 1/8"; From the bottom of the cap to the full mark is 14-1/8"; From the bottom of the cap to the add mark is 14-13/16"; From the bottom of the cap to the tip of the stick is 17-1/8".
I think it is supposed to be 5 plus a filter full. So I always filled the filter, then put the rest of the last quart in the engine, for the street. I always ran at least 1/2 to 1 quart more in our race cars, cause so much would be pumped to the top end during a pass.
