Many many years ago my car was painted by my family after I went to college. The painter did a terrible job but my family got what they paid for. So the painter just sprayed over the marker lenses and after I came back from school I spent a lot of time trying to get the paint off. So fast forward 25 years and I am looking at buying some new markers since I am preparing to paint the car.
How did the factory paint the marker lenses? The new ones appear to be black in the catalog so if they were painted the body color from the factory what did they use to cover the lighted lens portion of the marker.
Yeah this is a minor issue but my OCD over keeping/making this car factory is driving this.
How did the factory paint the marker lenses?

If the lens doesn't just pop out, I would use painter's tape over the lens
