I was there - we spoke briefly. I'll keep my eyes on this thread for details. Kids activies often over rule my plans, but c'est la vie.
My `68 isn't as pretty as yours, (or the 69 TA parked nearby). She's a 20 40 footer for sure.... all the more reason to keep it moving.
I just heard from Richard... "hey ben how have you been. been trying to get on FGF lately and cant. have you been talking to harry or the guys lately .I was wondering if u could say hi to the guys for me if u can ,and tell them I am not ignoring them or you, just cant seem to log in .I hope all is well with everyone and if anyone else is having trouble. you can give them my account on facebook thnx and have a good day"
I've mentioned FGF to some local bird owners i've stumbled across and pretty much they could care less

There's an all year Camaro and Firebird show today in London. It's being held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Lambeth 7097 Kilbourne Rd 8 am - 4 pm Just saw it in the paper... I think last year, everyone brought their spare parts, like at a flee market. Ben and I may go to it since its so close.
We went Saturday . It was overcast , had a slight drizzle around noon . The turn out was good for the weather . I'd guess about 600-700 cars there . I saw about 5 first gen birds . All in all we had a good day .We should all get together and head to a show next spring .
HI Guys.....I know this is not really the spot to post this, but I know the guys on here are reasonably close to me. I am looking for a set of clutch and brake pedals for a 1969 Firebird. They need to be from a Firebird as I understand the Camaro is different. I don't come on here much so if you could send me an email that would be great paulcensner@pm.on.ca
Ben nor I will be able to make it. My bird's still not ready and Ben' s bird is blocked in by an S10 he's working on. No plans as of yet this year for us, but that may change.
My `68 needs a wheel alignment before I drive it much more this summer, but it needs more work than that to be "show" ready. It also likes to mark its territory thanks to a small leak around the oil pan that I just can't get rid of!
Went to the Cruise in Lucan on Sat. Held in a shady little park across from the Legion hall. The Legion put on a nice lunch and there were several food booths and a live band at Hogtown Cycles. This was the first year for the car section of the get together. There were only about 20 cars show up this year and we were the only Firebird. No shortage of spectators. Hopefully next year, with more advertisement, the number of cars and Firebirds will rise. There was at least a couple hundred motorcycles at the event, which made it a success.
From what I gather, some A&W locations use their annual "Cruisin' To End MS" day (which is tonight: August 21) as a classic car event as well.
Can't tell which A&W locations are doing that; wish they had a list.
Text from the link below: More than 800 A&W restaurants across the country will host Cruisin’ to End MS events, which may include Cruisin’ the Dub® classic car and hot rod gatherings, retro music, car hop service, A&W Root Beer® chugging contests, and visits from the Great A&W Root Bear
I might take the kids for a root beer at the Victoria St. (closest to my house) or Westmount location in Kitchener tonight just to see if anything's happening...
UPDATE: well, that was a bust. Nothing happening at either location.
