Hello its been a while. I have 1967 firebird with a th400 transmission. the problems I am finally addressing after several years living with this problem is that my speed odometer is off by 30 mph. so for example my mechanical odometer gauge reading is reading 80 mph but I am really traveling 50. I forgot what color tooth that's currently in my transmission. the [u][b]rear tire size is 255/50/17 front tire size 235/40/17 I have a 3.55 rear end gear ratio can someone help me on what color and tooth size that with rear the correct odometer speed. thanks
The correct gear I have in my TH 400 with a 3.55 rear is the light blue GM9775187 which was Classic Industries part number G8804 at the time. The issue is that I stayed with modern tires close to the original (OEM) E or F-70 size of about a 26 inch diameter.
