Hi David you are looking for a spray bomb called " 227 pontiac blue metallic." It is made by a company called plasti-kote and is available at NAPA stores in western Canada. I don't know if you have the NAPA chain back east but if you do they should have it. If you can not find it let me know and I can arrange to send you out a couple of cans.. Jimbo
I see all the positive comments on the Hirsch paint.Out of curiousity, what makes them so much better than the others? Is it the colour match, better adhesion, higher temp holdouts or all of the above?

The Hirsch paint is the most accurate color. When applied in light coats across the exhaust ports, it will only turn slightly bronze with heat. The remperature range is higher than other paints, and it requires no primer on cast iron surfaces.

Picked up the Plasticote 227 Pontiac metallic blue today, didn't want to wait for the Hirsch paint (i know,i know) as i get the car back most likely tomorrow and want to get the motor back in.Will see how it turns out.Colour looks good, probably not as good as the Hirsch but should do the job, at least look a lot better than how i had it before. The paint can says rated 260 celcius(500 fahrenheit) Q, you mentioned these brands would/may/should require a primer unlike the Hirsch paint, what would one use to primer the cast areas for this purpose? How many coats of paint have you guys used for your engine? Thanks,
David
