I just registered new here. I recently bought a Pontiac Firebird 1968 350 265 HP (WC engine code, 17 head code).
I would like to know if it is easy to upgrade the block to 400cui? Is the change of 400ported heads already enough or does the whole engine need to be bored?
As I understand, is that the 350 until 455 Pontiac blocks actually are the same gross engine sizes, only with different bearings and heads. Right?
I have the cool 400cui Ram air Hood with the red decals on it. This would make it great if the performance matches the look.
