Thinking of replacing the drip rail chrome on my 69 after the new paint, and have heard the repro chrome is thin and not desirable. Has anyone experience with this? Suggestions or opinions? Thanks, Ron
yes they are and don't fit very well either. I would have yours repaired and polished or find some others that are done. They are the same as Camaro also
My original drip rail molding could not be repaired. I used Classic Headquarters #W-508. The molding was decent except for the corner pieces. I polished and used original GM corners. If you are not building a 100 point car might be worth a look. If you order from a Jegs or Summit Racing kind of supplier, returns are typically painless. D&R Classic in Chicago may have NOS pieces.
