and just to explain...Im an advocate for gun ownership...I don't own one (well, I own three antiques, only one can be used...an old Winchester that I do have bullets for, but don't shoot it as after the military I was sooo tired of cleaning weapons after use)....I don't own a modern gun...but want to keep the RIGHT to own one, should I decide to do so.
If you want a real eye opener, go research who is funding the march for our lives B.S. Someone has to be paying the tens of thousands to transport all the people and pay for the propaganda.
X 2 on that! And just today, retired supreme court judge, 97 year old John Paul Stevens called for a full repeal of the 2nd amenedment! Also, protesters who were asked this week at their 'ban assault weapons' rally, what an assault weapon was could not answer!

Doesn't surprise me as most don't even know the basics of the 2nd amendment. All that is interesting and also the sad part of this so called Marches or rallies is the claim that these were kids doing it and I was thinking after seeing some of the videos and pics that they were mostly adults, not kids and then a report came out stating that the media was bs'ing everyone and only 10% were teenage kids. This whole think is unbelievable
I agree 100%. It is the person behind the gun as to whether it is used in a good or bad way. And that goes for any weapon, being a gun, knife, car, etc. I am a firm believer in owning guns and having them for hunting, home defense and other non-life threatening uses. Mine all stay where they should, until it's necessary to take them out. I live in Aztec, NM where 2 high school students were killed in a school shooting in December. We had officers onsite within 1 minute from the call, they were armed and ready to use force. The gun man had shot himself prior to officers arriving. I pray for all students, that they are safe in school and if someone tries to hurt them, officers or licensed gun carriers are there to help protect them.
Haven't been online for long time, but being a gun owner/carrier and NRA member for nearly 30 yrs, these mass shootings have me perplexed... Why the need to kill others and so many? Its heart wrenching.
Another thing that may have been brought up; Notice the media and the leftist never use the term "vehicle violence" when someone runs down a group of people?
And... Read an article last week London exceeded NY on murders. Don't think was per capita though. Mostly drug related and using knives. So now considering restricting carrying them. Even banning pointed kitchen utensils... Also while the UK has some of the strictest gun laws (for how long now?), there's also been increasing gun violence and drive by shootings.
Government and police never been able to stop drug traffic. What makes anyone believe they can stop gun traffic...
