I am just wondering if I have the correct bracket and shift cable boot that mounts to the trans tunnel under the console . I have not found anything that shows these two items or that they are even sold. Can someone post a couple of pics of what they have on their car? I have no idea if the 69 is the same as the other first gens.
Can't help with the bracket but I believe the boot comes with the trans shifter cable. I know that the '68 TH400 with console used the GM part 9794252. It appears to be the same one used in '69 but I'll let you determine and confirm that. Anyway, I've kept the below spare 9794252 for many years because I've had two cables fail over the years. The new cable comes with the boot.
Holy Cow Jim, that is the same boot!!!! I know that I have had some problems with certain things because my car seems to fall early in the 69 production that things are a little different. I recently ordered 69 kick panels and it turned out to be unusable because the kick panels I had the fit looked identical to the 67-68 kick panels. Can you get the boot by itself?
