I have a 68 firebird Jan build date with a rectangle remote door, going to a manual rectangle due to rarity and cant find a nice one, was thinking of running a round gto style . is there a correct rectangle reproduced I would really not like to run the camaro style?

You have to have the correct door skin in order to mount the mirror. Expect trouble if you pick just anything to put on.

I know , tried one out the round remote style from Ames and don’t cover up the hole in the door skin, the square Camaro style fits on the skin and covers , I have a gto style round coming in this week, see how I like that if not sending it back
99% sure the GTO one won't fit correctly either. Gus will sell you his correct, rectangular remote mirror if you ask him nice.

Does not look '67 original to me. Is that a remote? Looks like something off of a big car.

Just looked at the Ames catalog. They list a FF354W 67-8 remote mirror for $189 that looks a lot like the one on the 67 that I posted. Hard to tell from their pic. They also list FF351R remote for 67 but it says discontinued.
