The seam that runs up either side of the rear valance, behind the bumper and up the sides of the tail panel and rear quarters are different from coupe to vert. I'm not sure where it stops at the upper end of the seam on the vert. Must be somewhere behind the bumper. Anyone have a pic of the rear panel with the bumper off of a 67 vert? Also no seam in the panel above the trunk lid. Did they lead these in from the factory or finish them some other way?
I'm surprised no one replied. Yes the seam at the rear valance on convertibles were leaded flat. I removed it and just welded in patches over the top when I installed new quarters. Seemed easier and less prone for issues. As for the seam on the tail panel I seam sealed the entire thing. Not sure if that's what the factory did but I like it.
There was still a visible seam where the lower quarter and the valance meet right? I know the seam around the tail panel area was filled but I thought the lower area still showed a seam.

Yes, still a seam down there. Just like coupes.

Nope, only seems that are filled on convertibles is the one on top of the rear quarters panels where it meets the piece under the convertible window..hard to explain, but that is filled, no seem or gap visible.
