Can anyone recommend an alternative to the 67 bucket seats. My wife is worried about wiplash and wants something with a headrest. I'm interested in something that will fit without a bunch of modifications. thanks
1969 Firebird and Camaro bucket seats have the same bottoms and tracks. They have adjustable head rests. They could pass as original because headrests were a special option but I think that started in 68.
My wife asked me for the same thing. There's a recent post concerning it. In that post, I mentioned a good set was on e-bay. Well, the final price those went for was $560 and they still needed new foam and recovering, plus shipping. So, if you can find a pair for less than $400 (I got mine from a friend of a friend for $300--they still need new foam and recovering) jump on them.
69firebirdman: Thanks for the offer but shipping from Fl. to AZ. would be a killer. Not overly concerned about origionality, so if anyone knows of a good match from another vehicle, I would consider that also...Thanks all for the replys
I think your best bet is to find a set of 69' firebird or camaro with the headrests (or missing them with the openings for them) Direct bolt in swap, no headaches (pun intended )
