Robert, my car sat , what I thought too high , think it was "stock", where the nose is slightly up...I cut my coil springs ( no idea what they were ,but assume stock...) down one full coil = +-1" , lowered the car +_2"'''getting a "nicer stance" ( in my mind), see what it looks like on my pic, see my car ID below... looking at you ID pic, looks like mine was 'about' the same as yours before, maybe 'slightly higher'? No other mods done up front...not sure if it would work if you got headers...? it gets pretty low underneath..
Your front does look nice and low. I like mine to be about as close to level as I can get it. Mine sits a little bit better now then when that pic was taken. I think I'll have to take some new ones soon and replace the old one.
Robert , IF you cut the coils and it gets too low ,you can adjust it back up with some twist in coil spring adjusters...come in two, maybe more sizes...inexpensive...
Björn, hope you can take some nice pictures of that exhaust system and put in the forum so we all can admire it . Can you compare your system and Smow Cruisers IMCO system. is it the same level or is it more quiet than the IMCO- system ?

Tommy , I have some pics....but cant post here....I dont know what Gorans system looks like , but it sounds good ( I heard it last summer), mine sounds different...but cant explain the sound... not to be discriminatory , but I like my sound better! LOL
Tommy , I don`t think I have your email in my address book, mail me and I`ll send pics... And if You can post my pics go ahead!
You wussies :p My 68 is lowered 1" Headers with 3" x-pipe exhaust. Mufflers exit just behind my butt. No tail pipes. Only hits speed bumps when not carefull...or driving on/off the trailer. But the Cal Tracs do also.
Now when i get the 67 done, i will go with the new Pypes 2.5 x-pipe system. They have a straight thru transverse muffler availible with correct tail pipes
ponchoshop, I'm with you.....currently running headers into 2.5 inch custom H pipe that tucks WAY up in the tunnel.....new heads and cam are going in as we speak and will be changing to a 3 inch x-pipe and 1 3/4 inch primary headers. Can't wait to hear the new sound....oh, yeah, gonna use Goerhlick Xcelerator mufflers and 3 inch all the way out the back....
Greg, I think Tommy missed that one. the first pic is also the old system showing how it scraped on the glasspaks, plus smaller dia pipes... the H is just in front of and hidden in the pic by the X brace...maybe Tommy can find the H pic and post it?
Just to add a little fuel to the fire... has anyone seen the Car Craft magazine? In the speed shop section they are showing a new Dynomax muffler that has the X pipe built in. Dual inlet and dual outlet. No X pipe or H pipe to worry about. It's called the Ultra Flow X and it's $129 from Summit. The only problem I see is that the inlets are on the same end and the oulets on the other. If they wold run an inlet and oulet on each end you could mount it transverse and do away with all the extra stuff in the exhaust system.
I've been running a modified repro of the factory 400 system with 2.25" pipes for a couple of years now, with a pair of resonators in the stock position and the dual inlet-outlet transverse crossflow muffler above and behind the axle. I like the sound, it's a low rumble at idle and maintains the low pitch at a slightly higher volume at higher rpms. The tailpipes exit under the trunk extensions as the originals did. No spacing of the X brace was necessary. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/v_papesh/detail?.dir=39e3&.dnm=2451.jpg

Yes of course Vikki, I didn´t get that one from Bjorn. But I guess it is at the same place as the 2 holes in the pic that I got.I Is it really making so much difference from not letting the pipes go together? Anyway, It looks nice and smooth. Seems that the guys that did the job are professionals. Wish it was as common in Sweden too, with Exhaust shops ( Is it the right name ? ) This one is from our Firebird, has been around for a couple of years. It´s time to change
