my transmission has a heart stamped into the top of it. does anyone else have this? plus the seria number is stamped into it twice date code is p9p18 and it has a tag with 9798974 on it and maybe a casting number of 3925660....does this sound right for a 350 4speed 1969 firebird 2bbl?
Makes sense. In aviation, we tech inspectors each used a unique stamp to indicate who had done the inspection on a part or maintenance job. Still would love to find the Spade and the Club just for fun.
I'll bet Banshee has seen quite a few unique markings on these transmissions, he has done alot of work on them over the years.
Dave, was yours off an original 68 muncie?
'68 428 HO M3 Monster, 4-on-the-floor! Need I say more?
Yup, this is the original to the best of my knowledge. I have not had time to check the numbers, but they are on top near the + stamp "7U143908", on the shifter side "GM 3884685" and on the other side by the US PATENT PENDING etc "3885010"
Any one know where to check......(don't know if I want o find out.....
