I was going through a box of mostly "junk" that the previous owner of my 69 left in the car. I came across a Firebird emblem that the note says is for the glove box. I've never seen one on a 69 Bird before and have no mounting holes on my glove box door. Does anyone have any info or better yet a photo showing the placement of this "little bird". Thanks for any help.

Not sure if it "goes" on 69 , BUT I have one on mine...I liked it so I added it....it was part of some "option" I think, but not 100% if it goes on 69, mine is a 69 and I bought the emblem for it....
I`ll try to remember to measure the bird for ya... I did get my neasureents long ago from Brett...maybe tomorrow , if I remember tonite as I get home...

69 did not come with that emblem.they were on the 67 and 68 birds

So I "bastardized" my car! so ,who cares....LOL

It is centered 4 3/16" from the side and 4 1/4" from the top.

Charlie beat me to it ,but my dims are 4" from top and 4 1/2" from right...and hes got a better pic than mine!

better stick to his dims , my old eyes arent that good....LOL
Or my measuring tape is off!

also if you need to drill the mounting holes...two different sizes....locate the center of the bird from Charlies measurements, then figure out where the holes go...
as far as I know , the two studs on the back are : one is the stud that gets that slip on /press on expandable fastener , the lower is a 'directional' stud only...

it "may" be easier ,so you dont get it crooked, to grind off the bottom stud , use the top only and use a dab of silicone for "sticking", since you can then 'adjust' it before it sticks... a misdrilled hole can be disatrous...
