Can someone please tell me what China has against the 1969 Shift Knob and Wings Down Bird Button? Why haven't they reproduced them yet? Better yet, who fell asleep at GM Restoration Parts? I know, I know, "It's a one year production car". that may be so, but it seems that there are still quite a few out there, and we need replacement parts...(Preferably High Quaility Parts)
If it was a bowtie button and not a bird button it would be made.

RE: 69firebirdman That's why we appreciate people like you Terry, thanks for coming up with the parts we need from time to time.
RE: blk68firebird400ragtop You are absolutely right David. That's O.K. though, we all the answer to the age old question of which came first, The Chicken or the Egg.
Mine has a PMD in it instead of the bird. I know the shifter isn't the exact original, but I thought it was correct for 69 firebird. Did some birds come with the PMD button instead of the bird one, did this come from a different 69 pontiac, or is it from a later car?
Tim, i thought PMD center was for the GTO or other Pontiacs, i could be wrong. It could also be a production run thing as well.
