Hey Guys I have a '68 bird (fact. 400 conv.) and it came stock with Parchment Custom Option Vynyl upholstry. My issue is I want to replace some of the seat covers and paint the interior. I found that the color seems to be more of a pearl in the books like Year One. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to mathing my colors correctly. Has anyone used the Pearl in place of Parchement? Thanks
Syoung, from what I've heard/read etc... there is the corect vynil "die" or paint out there and it's a two part paint that is a very close match for the original "pearl" look. I would check with Ames and Year One or some of the high end repro parts places for the best product.
Let us know what you find, and IF I find more info in the mean time I'll pass it along!
Brett- Thanks for the tip, I looked in Year One's catalog and they have the colors in there but my major concer is ordering Parchment or Pearl. The previous owner bought a can of Parchment for the Camero which doesn't match. I just want to find out if in '68 if the parchment was actually a pearl-ish color. Any ideas? Scott
