Banshee: I concur with your comments - they're perhaps the wisest words in this thread. (Followed closely by bird67's warning about noxious fumes ).
In my little, narrow mind, ebay is a place for deals to be had. At least, that why I occasionaly look there - for a deal. Although it might be worth every penny, this is no deal.
To me, ebay is "beneath" a 69 TA. Seems almost a shame to see one being sold on it. Just my $0.02.
Have a good weekend everybody. It's Friiiiiidayyyyyyy!!!
As stated before, its a cheap crappy Ebay post for what could be a superb car. This guy might be legit, but he's got nobody with common sense whispering in his ear.
He seems to need that sensible person whispering things to him.
Banshee, I miss you real bad my friend. Ditto from many others here.

Hey Banshee, I wouldn't want to assume that nobody on this site has that kind of money...I'd just hope that they had enough sense to do all the investigation before spending the wad on an auto investment. I mean buy it on ebay for 70K and sell it in Scottsdale for 150K. Sounds easy.
Perhaps if you read my post thoroughly, you would comprehend that, yes, I am assuming based on secondary characteristics. I did not say that nobody here had 70-110k to spend on whatever. (period)
I said that if one had, and if one wanted that car, that one would afford ones self the expense to verify the car as described.
You asked what people thought about the T/A...If I offended you because you think I thought you don't have the money to buy it, the point I wished to make is referenced prior (verification of vehicle).

"Who cares? Really! Nobody here has the 70-110k to buy it (legit or not)"
You didn't offend me. I'm really not that easily offended. It just seemed like you were presuming a bit. I'm sure there are several people on this site(not me) that could put together 80K. The hardest part would be convincing their finacial advisor(wife) that it was a sound investment.
LOL I hear you Robert! All it would take is getting tired of looking at our flat 401K's and here come the car investments. I'm down about a grand for the year on my mutual funds so I'm really temped to go 'cars'. Either that or bonds and bonds are so freakin wimpy!
On the other hand, Tom wrote exactly what I was thinking along the way on that post. It was good to hear from him and in 'pure form' to boot!
Oh, I forgot! The barn is pretty full. Need to build another before we get too crazy.
