I just got an incredible $500+ quote from Mailboxes, etc. to ship a back seat from an F-body. Anybody have any suggestions how to beat this highway robbery to ship this thing to SD?

Shipped a back seat, both halves from a 67 bird last week. 2 seperate boxes, Detroit to Riverside California, FedEx ground...$43.59.

I also use FedEx Ground. You package, you drop off and they take about 5 days, but it's only about $45! Big difference!

The one I shipped went from Seattle to MI. for around $45 UPS wanted I think $95...

Have UPS pick it up at your door as a one time pickup and it should be about $45.

Did UPS with wrapping I got from Staples. Worked great and much lower cost.

Fedex is usually about 30% less than UPS ,just fyi...I always ship Fedex, ...
and no , I dont have stock in Fedex...lol

maybe I should..we ship an awful lot with them...
