Great video...Just out of curiosity, If you go to a minute and 34 seconds into the video, is the blond on the left by any chance related to you because if she is i think we can get along great (no disrespect intended. Maybe a daughter of yours or something).
uh oh, I'm becoming a youtube addict... thanks for the bump Dave, and John.. I can't describe the fun we had.. the kids said they felt like celebrities.. we put the place in an absolute uproar... traffic only moves at 10mph anyhow.. but everyone stopped for us...
and photographs.. well into the hundreds.. flashes were popping constantly.. people would run into the street to take our picture, hug and kiss us.. my kids passed out candy in the back seat.. I had the cops and security on my tail at different times.. people were screaming Santa and once the next block figured out what the commotion was about, they would light up.. then I'd do a u-turn and roll back past everyone cheering.. I really only circled the inner blocks of the shopping district..
we cruised the plaza for about 90 minutes total.. everyone was beaming, young and old.. and before leaving I hit the flashers and when my power top shot up in the air to close for the ride home.. that was the biggest screams of all..
as far as production goes.. I had 3 video cameras rolling and one still.. we all used our nextels to corridinate the filming.. only the guy at the beginning who drops the candy did I know, he got down there before us to give us a traffic report.. the three of us in the very last scene was my crew.. we closed the bars afterwards..
and after the season is over, I'll buy professional santa and ms claus and elfs outfits for next years shoot.. I've had the cheap Santa suit I was in since a being a teenager.. and we'll probably tip the television stations off too.. it's official, the family wants to make it a tradition...
I'm glad I could share it with everyone and you enjoyed it too.. Merry Christmas to all..
well.... a burnout sounds nice.. and I thought about it a couple of times alright.. but I'm certain it would of been more trouble than it was worth...
there were alot of horses pulling carriages and I just didn't think considering the frenzy we already were causing security was going to let me get away with it...
and honestly.. this is the high rent district.. it just didn't seem the place for it..
but, I'm shooting another video come spring with me racing cops this time and there will be plenty of burnouts in it...
here is that soundtrack... he is a family friend...
