I know some of you have installed the vintage air conditioning system in your cars. Any thoughts on how easy or hard it was. And is there any other aftermarket systems out there that are worth looking into. thanks
I am putting one in my 69. It is fairly easy and straightforward, but the instructions are a bit hard to follow. Common sense helps when installing the parts. The hardest thing was installing the duct to the aftermarket center vents provided in the kit. I have the underdash unit installed and the compressor, but I haven't hooked up the refrigerant lines yet and probably won't get to that until later in the year. There is an unexplained knob under the box that I won't know what it does until after I have it running and experiment.
I wouldnt know, would have to ask my friends... I HAD a Vintage Air too once ,in my Healey , but that was over 7 yrs ago ....cannot remember , but I "think" you`re correct...
I have a knob under the dash, behind the glove box. There is no explanation in the paperwork. I will call Vintage Air, if I can't figure it out. I haven't gotten the engine running yet, so I have time before I can experiment.
