I know this has been covered elsewhere, but I am trying to get some straight and basic answers.
I have the block and crank getting finished up. I'll know early next week where the bores clean up at.
I am looking for a rebuild kit or source of combination of parts for this 455. I am planning on running 87 octane, so I don't need anything too exotic. This entire build is about value, not top of the line race performance. The block is getting square decked, but not zero decked. I'll be running some 6X-? as soon as I find something that'll work and keep the compression in line. I need to cc the piston area in the block before I get to serious about the heads.
Any suggestions of vendors of parts brands on pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump, seals, ect, ect?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Dave
