I just noticed that my parking lights in the front go off when I turn on the headlights, Is this normal. If so could they be rewired to stay on with headlights?

I bet you have a bad ground. They should stay on. Do the blinkers work?

The parking/marker should stay on in the '68 when the lights come on Clay. That's the purpose of the side marker. The literature even specifically states that they are on with the headlights.

If you pull the LIGHTS switch out half way the parking lights go on, pull to the full out position and you get headlights only. Instrument panel, license plate and tail lights are on in both positions. Clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation movement of the switch control brightness of the instrument panel. As described in the 67 owner's manual.

Mine too. They only illuminate when the switch is half way out. They're out when the headlights are on.

Maybe this is a 67 and early 68 thing? It seems like it would all be in which switch you have.

Jim makes sense here (as usual) Why put side markers on for safety sake in 68 and not have them illuminated when the headlights are on.

67's front park lamps come on @ "park lamp" position, and go out @ "headlamp on" position(Only used for turn signal).

Fed's changed rules for 68's. Stay on @ both positions.

So then Jim(8point) could swap out his switch for a 68 and get his lights to stay on if he wants them to. That is, if the wiring connector is the same.
