Will a ST300 off a 8cyl 326 1964 Lemans mount up to a 1967 6cyl block out of a Lemans?

Having a hard time locating the OHC 4.1 L6 and ST300 2 spd and shifter for my 1968 Firebird Sprint that was in it.

As far as I know, the only difference is the number of clutch disks. These guys would know for sure: http://www.autotran.us/index.html

I would actually think the transmissions would be different between the V8 and L6 cars. I say this because the manual transmission bellhousings are definitely different.

Also hate to be the bearer of other bad news but the original air cleaner you are looking for on your Sprint is going to be a long quest unless you get real lucky. I've seen people look for years with no results. I would recommend a cheap chrome aftermarket air cleaner until you come across an original.
