We are working on a '67 Firebird, and the rear seat back that the owner brought us is much wider (about 54 1/2") as compared to the bottom (~47"). The seat cover kit we were provided fits the bottom fine, but obviously not the top. What gives? What is supposed to be in this car? I cant find any dimensions anywhere.
Conv seats are narrower. Maybe you have a mix. You working on a vert?
Incorrect.
fgf Standard and Deluxe seats are the same size, regardless of coupe or convertible.
Where the change up comes into play is mixing with 'Maro parts. For Camaro, standard seats are wider than deluxe. (because of the way the rear quarter interior panels are finished) So you can use a Camaro deluxe seat (either coupe or 'vert), in a fgf, but a 'Maro standard seat will be too wide.
Check upholstery patterns to see if you likely have a Camaro seat mixed in.

Yep. Same with fold downs. Totally interchangeable.

Just as 68 tpls400 said They are the same and I have been interchanging them for years. I read a long time ago that during development the designers decided that the Firebird being an upscale model from the Camaro needed to have upholstered rear arm rests.
