My friend who restors Pontiacs and has a few that are 100% original (including Rally II's) claims that all the rattle can Rally II paints on the market are NOT correct. He says unless you buy the paint from Bill Hirsh you can forget ending up with an exact match. This guy is SUPER picky and I take him for his word and 40+ years of Pontiac experience.
I beleive others on here have also commented about the Hirsh paints as well...
Most of the rattle cans are not a match for the '68-69. They are the lighter colors used in other (not sure which) years.
We had ours powder coated to match the original but worn colors on the '68. We had the charcoal powdercoated, then painted on the silver spokes. This may seem backwards, but it gives the wheel interiors a dark finish which looks cleaner from the outside through the slots. Not perfectly original, but it looks really nice.

I bought and used the Rally II paint set from Ames and my results sure look a HECK of a lot like the NOS Rally II spare shown from the '69 Firebird that SinCity just posted over the long weekend (Two Tone Paint thread).
